What Services We Provide
DIFW offers a full suite of diagnostic imaging and breast intervention services, using up-to-date technology to ensure accuracy, comfort, and patient care.
- Digital & 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis) — combines 2D and 3D imaging for highly detailed views.
- Breast Ultrasound — helpful especially in dense breast tissue or when a symptom is present.
- Core Biopsy & Fine Needle Aspiration — for sampling tissue when there are suspicious findings.
- Percutaneous Mammotomy — a specialised biopsy procedure under imaging guidance.
Who Should Have Screening & How Often
Women over 40 years are encouraged to consider regular breast screening, even without symptoms. DIFW will help recommend frequency based on your risk factors.
- If you have symptoms (e.g. a lump, nipple changes, pain, or skin changes), a diagnostic mammogram + ultrasound is typically performed.
- If you’re younger or have dense breast tissue, ultrasound may be used in combination with mammography
